Nicki Minaj : The Queen of Rap

NICKI MINAJ is one of the most well-known figures in the global hip-hop/rap scene. Nicki Minaj is not only a rapper, she is an icon. A global superstar! Coming from a totally different background without any relation to the music industry, and becoming a hip-hop sensation, her journey was not easy.

The beginning of her journey to becoming a Queen

Nicki was born on the island of Trinidad. She came to America as an illegal immigrant at 5 years old. Nicki wrote her first rap at the age of 12! But then she didn't know it was going to be her career. She even joined the acting school and learned acting, but her passion was music.

In an interview, Nicki mentioned how famous rapper Lil Wayne changed her life. One day she was at her house, cleaning her room all day and Lil Wayne called her for her audition! And after the audition, she got selected for Wayne's rap group 'Young Money'. It was like a dream to her and from releasing mixtapes in 2008 to releasing her first album in 2010- "Pink Friday", she became unstoppable.

Why The Queen of Rap

Nicki Minaj is well known for having a fearless, bold, strong, and independent spirit    She started from nothing and reached the top. She put a lot of effort into popularizing female rap, and she was successful. She ‘gave birth to a lot of sons’, hehe, many female rappers followed in her footsteps. Throughout her lengthy career, which spanned from 2008 to 2022 (and still continuing) she dominated the female rap scene.

Even she is superior to many male rappers in the field. Nicki is no longer referred to as a female rapper because of this. She is a RAPPER. Nicki Minaj rose to prominence as the queen of rap by making millions upon millions, selling record after record, and consistently charting at the top.

Everyone should be inspired by Nicki Minaj. She only had faith in herself, that was all. She consistently put in a lot of effort.  She frequently asserts that education should come first before anything else. She provides funds for needy students so that they can attend college. A talented woman with a bold personality, Nicki Minaj will always reign supreme in the annals of the music industry.
